ok so, i was driving on the freeway for the first time on me mustang. and when i stepped on the gas to accelerate, it took a while to go to a good speed. and all of a sudden it jumps! like if it takes a while for it to recognize that im stepping on the gas fully...

i heard that this can be modded in order for the acceleration to be recognized as soon as i step on the gas...now i have an automatic..but i know that there is a way for it to respond like a standard right?

You can try to make it similar via a tune and a shift kit to make the auto shift harder and faster. Even the stick shift 05 and up Mustangs have that throttle lag though. You can eliminate the majority of it through a tune but, stock, you're stuck with it I believe.

yes, buy a tune or a tuner that has a good reputation with automatics. I think Brenspeed is well versed in automatics. Or you buy buy a tuner with a stock tune and have Brenspeed, Blow by racing or many other companies e-mail you a tune specifically for what you want.
