Thinking of doing a Fox TB conversion. I really like Accufab and was considering their 75mm polished one. Can somebody look at their site:

http://www.accufabracing.com/throttle_bodies.htm

And Tell me which one it is that I would need? They have "body", "kit" and "egr".

Also what makes the more $$ race one different/better?

It's down a little on the page under 86-93 Mustang.
Thanks

i don't think you want the race version. it says you need to make a special thingy if you run a supercharger.

get the normal version and the EGR one if you still run your EGR, if not, get the blank

You're the first person I hear that complains about that.

:Word:

I never heard complaints either...in fact, one (of the few) reasons I wanted the Fox TB setup is so I can get an accufab...I think it's a really nice addition.

Anyone have the answers to my ?? a few posts above?

Thanks

I just got a 75mm Accufab with the blank EGR spacer. Part Number F75KS.
I don't remember off the top of my head, but I think ProKiller is right about the vacuum ports on the EGR spacer.

I am at work now, but when I go home at lunch I'll take a peek at it.

i think you need the blank plate for the vacuum ports but i'm not sure.

your selling the vortech? what are you up to?

Heheh :Zip2: :Zip2:

Ill let you in in about 2 weeks.

:D

Wi: thanks for the info.. I dont have an EGR so I dont think I need that, but if you can tell me what spacer that would be nice.

BTW...how do you like it?

Thanks

I just looked, and there are no vacuum ports on the spacer, but the mounting tabs for the throttle cable bracket are on the spacer, so yoiu will need that.

If you get the kit (PN F75KS) then you will have the throttle body and the 2" spacer with the mounting tabs.
Or if you just need the 2" spacer with the tabs that is Part Number 75BS.

The throttle body looks awefully nice all polished up, but it is still sitting on the shelf I haven't been able to try it out yet. I am still waiting on the new short bock to get finished. It shouldn't be too long now.

now your a que from Paul on keeping everything a secret

LOL

Paul's Helping me (in an advisory capacity).

ANYWAY, the difference is Paul wont say anything until it's finished. I wont say anything until the deal that Im working on is final, which may be in a week or 2...THEN the upgrades start!

If you want to PM me, I will be glad to share the info!! :nice:

Isnt the 2" spacer too big for our cars?

You've got me wondering now.

I found a picture of 95Cobraguy's engine bay, and on his TB conversion he used the thinner plate.
Here is a thread where he posted a bunch of pictures, and you can see the thinner plate that was used.

I think the 2" spacer will work, but if you are no using the EGR at all, it would probably be better to go with the plate.

I'm not that nosy RC, i guess i can wait.

I don't think the plate will matter much if your ditching the vortech. Seems to me that if you use the 2" plate then you might have problems with the fox pipe matching up. You'd probably have to cut it match on the intake side.
