Acid porting

Has anyone ever done this and whats the procedure, is it true that you use battery acid or some other liquid.

Muratic acic. You can get it a Rural King. It is dangerous.The vapers can kill you. Hast to be done in the wide open away from your house. I thought about doing it in the middle of my yard with a trash can turned over on top of it to see if it contained it. The vaper will actually burn your throat and lungs. Be safe!

With that kind of risk involved, i can't imagine you'll get an even port job. Sounds like a plan for disaster.

hey,I'm out of a job at moment and got alot of time on my hands. I'll extrude hone your lower and match the upper. It will all be ported/polished to a professional grade. save you the fatal fumes.Just send me the gaskets you want to use.

Uh, unless your working for EH, I doubt you'll be extrude honing anything for anybody - porting maybe..............correct me if I'm wrong.

No you are correct I thoguht he working with EFI. If he workin EH I can still do some good work. For anyone out there if they want a mirror finish port job it can be done. I won't charge to much since i know some of you guys on a tight budget.

I was thinking of giving this a try sometime in the near future but with all the right precautions being taken, i was going to atempt this on the upper and lower intake that i got @ the autowreakers, when doing the porting how long should this solution sit in the cast , or does it even work with cast. I belive that the upper intake is made of cast, correct me if im wrong.
