Adding clutch disk to 31 spline traction-lock.

This question is for a friend who is not near a computer right now and needs to know this.

He has a 31 spline ford traction lok unit that he bought new one year ago. He runs slicks and when doing a burnout one wheel spins faster than the other, he wants to know if you can add one more disk to each side of the diff to make it grip harder.

The added disc is rummored to help evenly distribute the torque to the rear wheels more effectively.

If his new carrier is still not installed, I say go for it.

I have seen pro and con on this. Having had a couple apart, at most I would think you could add one clutch. You would probably have to remove the shims to do it.
