ADJUST BOOSTER

Your right, the master cylinder is extremely close to the shock tower. It will come out though. You have to disconnect the brake lines first and then loosen the 2 bolts holding the master cylinder to the booster.

You may not need to remove the M/C though. Maybe you have some leaking calipers or wheel cylinders? If thats the case you would have a little bit of air trapped in the line at the wheels. this would be the easiest to check for, just inspect your wheel cylinders and see if any fluid has leaked out of them.

It is also possible that some of the fittngs at the master cylinder, or at the wheels could be a little loose.

Another thing thats possible is the master cylinder is leaking out of the back end of it where the piston is. Mine was doing this, I removed the C clip and pulled the piston out..there was some build up in the bore which I honed with a peice of sand paper and it hasnt leaked since.

Do you have rear drums? You may only need to adjust the rear shoes to help with pedal play. Becareful when adjusting the pushrod between the MC and booster, too much play will lock up your brakes and too much will drag the brakes.
