adjusting valves with an advanced cam

i have a stage 1 cam advanced 2 degrees and was wondering if you can adjust the valves as if the cam was dot to dot? same deal...? or is the adjustment diffferent?

Tell you what I do, I turn the engine over and watch a cylinder. When the intake valve closes on that particular cylinder, I turn it over just a bit more, then adjust both valves. That way you know your piston is on it's upward compression stroke, and both valves are on it's base circle.

yes i know how to adjust the valves, im just asking if its the same deal with an advanced cam

I advanced my TFS #1 cam +2*, no issues here, adjusted valves just like I wrote above.

yeah, it's the same...just adjust them like you normally would

hey jason does your car idle dif with the cam advanced, it seems like mine lost some of the lope it use to have..

Well, it was out of commision for about 8 months and was run with stock heads last year, so it's hard tell cuz it does sound different with the AFR's and can't really remember how different it was from last year. Still has a nice lope when idling though. I think I could gain some HP switching to a better cam and a RPM upper.
