Advice on SN95 Rear End Swap

I am currently in the process of finishing a SN95 rear end swap into my 1986 Fox GT. However I am picking up this project about half way through after my brother walked off in the middle of the project. I think I have everything figured out with the exception of the brake lines. The SN95 rear currently has soft lines going to the calipers and meeting at a hard line T with a fitting im not familiar with. Can anyone tell me how to adapt this fitting into the stock brake lines from the 86 GT? Any info you can give me would be appreciated. Also any thoughts on having to upgrade the brake booster / master cylinder while im at it?

yes you will have to upgrade the master cyl and BB

Can I just pull a stock MC / BB off an SN95? Any idea about the brake fittings?

thats probably a standard flare 3/8" brake hose fitting. hard to tell cuz i cant see in the hole

Yes, you can use a brakebooster and master cylinder from a 95...gt or v6, it doesn't matter. The second photo you showed, the fitting attached to the car, accepts a 3/8" banjo bolt. The easiest thing is to lose the hard line on the axle. Get one from a foxbody. You will have to shorten the hard line and get a fitting to adapt it to your soft lines on your calipers. The new fox body hardline will have a soft hose coming off that t fitting which will run up and attach to the car with the banjo bolt. Good luck with it!

IMO you don't need the booster, it's alot of work for very little difference (if any). The forums seem to have alot of people that say you need it or should do it, but most i know in person didn't change the booster out, including myself.

Buy a 93 cobra MC.

Yeah there seems to be some mixed opinion on that topic, for now if i dont need it im not gonna do it, i can always pick that up down the road
