advice on sticky tires

3.0 60'? I get 2.0 60's on a poorly prepped track while still on my 245 street tires. It is all on the launch. I leave from around 1800 rpm and I drop it. I usually catch hard. tirepressure is around 28psi.

the track was about 45* and air temp was less i think. i launched from the same rpm but i slip it. still need tires though.....

I'm going to go against the grain here and say get either the MT ET street or ET street radial. I raced my car and my mom's stock bullitt quite a few times with the stock rear end. i kept the tires aired up to 22-25lbs (on bias ply 26X10.5X16 ET streets), with the high air pressure they would spin if I launched too hard, this helped to not break anything. I still managed 1.91 60's in my mom's car and mid 1.6's in mine. Get the sticky tire now so you don't have to re-do it later when the drag radials don't give as much bite as you'd want. if they are going to be a strip only thing then get DEFINITELY get the MT's, I'd go with the ET street bias ply but that's me. I haven't seen enough of the ET street radials myself to sway me that way over the bias ply tires yet.

yea i plan on a mostly strip use with them. the bias ply et streets have a tube no? if so id rather go with the et street radials. my freind was telling me about a 10 sec camaro on the radials and said they hooked like a mother.
