Have Total Engine Airflow or Fox Lake take care of those Twisted Wedge heads for you. They can make them flow well over 300cfm. Then maybe the Edelbrock Vic EFI intake and a custom cam.

The cobra intake is not a "huge" restriction. Tmoss has posted dyno result from a 347 running a ported lower cobra against a Holley intake and the cobra was right there up until 6500 rpm I believe. That was the only changes that were made (intake swap comparison) pm tmoss for the sheet. So Pops Fun I agree with your son, BTW that 347 was N/A.

Thats my dream set up down the road. Ported TW's, victor 5.0 manifold, 90mm tb, a REAL collector on my bbk longtubes, a 3" mid pipe and shift at 7,000 with 4.30 gears

Pops, if you're staying n/a like I said a while ago, that cobra intake and camshaft are HUGE restrictions if you're looking to make power. The only way that cobra intake would be worth putting money into is if you decide to get a KB blower. Have you come up with any kind of decision yet? The KB blower might be your best bet unless you're willing to shift it higher with better parts n/a and gear it correctly. As it is, the combo is dead after 5,500, if you put the proper parts on it for n/a power and took it to around 6,500, you'd see nice gains.

Look at the left hand side of the graph - the GT40 torque line is the one on top and the Holley is the one under that.

ON the right hand side of the graph - the Holley is the HP line on top and the GT40 is the one under that.

Your intake would perform better than this one Ernan because you ported your intake and did a pretty good job of it.

It just occured to me that you be referring to the dyno test of one of my Explorer intakes that got replaced by an RPMII - which I bested..........but it went to 6,000 rpm.

Why did he put an rpm II manifold with an E cam?

My friend will be using an rpm II on his 306 he's doing but the difference is, he has the rest of the parts to make use of it.

Check my sig an mirror my intake track from K&N to lower intake. Plus add 30 lbs. injectors. Recalibrate chip. That is your bottle neck. Then if you want a little extra insurance. Add a 75hp N2O kit.

To me it doesn't seem like the Cobra's hanging with the Holley after 5500.

Yep, that's correct - but it's beter below that and after the right massaging of the lower intake, It'll stay better beyod that - to 6,000 rpm or more. It's about the area under the curve, not peaks!
