Cool. Sorry to hear about the bs you went thru. Customer service is so easy....yet so many companies forget to take care of it. They must be hurting for $, but this is gonna hurt them even more in the long run.

Wow, WTF did Corral do to their layout? I thought it was busy before, but with the new skin and differing sizes to the links/text, they just pretty much assured that I won't post over there at all now. It's not like I did much to begin with, but damn...

Edit: I'm stupid and don't read notices. They're working on the issues...

I would like to stand at Chris's side on this situation. I am the person that did the install of the COP setup. I am a wiring guy for a living and that is what I know I don't claim to no everything but I know what I know. First of all every attempt was made on our behalf to double and triple check everything. Every wire was soldered and infact from the computer to the coil on cylinder number 7 when I ohm'ed that the resistance was so minimal it was like .002. Now with that being said I can't believe that AEm had me cut the wire coming out of pin 24 I believe was the pin 2 inches above where the pin went in in the stock harness. With that minimal resistance there is NO way that the voltage would have gone from 5v to 1v. I spent 6 hours of my labor at $65.00/hr at no charge on Chris's behalf to exhaust every effort to get the COP to work. I have been professionally wiring and plumbing racecars for 19 months and I was blown away by the events that have taken place. It is unfortunate that these events have taken place and with the customers best interest in mind we have removed the AEM, EPM, COP and have gone to a new MSD Ignition Setup and a Big Stuff 3. I wanted this to work for Chris as badly as he did and we inspected the board ourselves check the jumper on JPC3 and infact even swapped the Jumper from JPC1 (a coil set that we knew was working) with the Jumper on JPC3 and still the same problem. I then ohm'ed every wire in the install that I did and the grounds were grounded to a ground stud on the cage in the car that we installed to ensure proper grounding. The power wire was also soldered and installed. At no point in time was the battery ever hooked up while any functions or work being performed of the install were done. The emails that I received stated that they said that it was a power or ground issue or that 2 pins were touched together. My converstaion with AEM just stated to me that the board was bad and that there are 2 different models and depending on what board it was the total to fix it would be between $400.00 to $500.00. I am not on here to keep the pot brewing just want people to know the facts. If an AEM representitive would like to call me and discuss this with me the one who did all the work and point fingers I invite you to call us from 9am to 6pm Arizona time and I will be happy to talk to you. I find it in no way right that a post was deleted or hidden and I believe that there needs to be a resolution to this issue. What this car means is priceless and for a company that is suppose to have a reputable name there were alot of things that were gone wrong from day one and the facts that were stated above would leaving anyone sour and feeling like they get bent over and f**ked hard.

Respectfully,

Robert Green - Owner

In light of corral's decision to delete your thread in an attempt to inform the public, I think I will add this thread as a sticky for a bit.

You'll like BS3 it is a good system, I was on the fence about it but went with Fast xfi again, their tech support has been great. They always point me in the right direction when I have or had trouble setting it up. Good luck with AEM the only AEM thing I have is thier map sensor, it will be the last AEM product I buy.

AEM is a decent system, it's a shame their C/S is a joke. You have to pay for a fault test? Really?

A friend of mine and I have had nothing but trouble with his AEM in his 92' coupe. I agree unfortunately the customer service is horrible.

Great, I'm getting ready to do the EPM and now I read this. I can't imagine starting all over again with a new system...

yeah paul but now that you know what to check for, you can make sure yours will work before trying the coil on plug conversion
