I have the opportunity to get one of these pretty cheap. I hated my 94-95 power pipe, but now that I got the Tweecer I'm seeing huge differences in ACT sensor values going from the power pipe to an open air filter in the engine bay. I did add a 10" piece of sheet metal to help protect the air filter from the heat, but that didn't do too much.

So has anyone tried this with the fox tb setup? I thought I remember seeing one on here. I'm interested in how much has to be cut out of the fenderwell to get everything to line up. Plus if I can put that 87-93 pipe in, I can put my MSD6 in the old air filter spot.

I wish i could help you with your question. But i have a 94-95 power pipe, and i usually see ambient outside temps while driving. I used my old MAC fenderwell piece to secure it from moving in the fender, i just had to cut it bigger. I have toyed with the idea of going to an underhood piece. But how hot do the temps get in there? I use a tweecer to check my intake temps too.

When I'm on the highway, the ACT temp is usually 10 deg higher then the outside air.

When I was drag racing last weekend (didn't get any times) the ACT sensor on the staging lane was 115! thats in 75 deg temps. I'm assuming the electric fan is blowing hot air right at the filter and I think some of that is playing havoc with my idle
