AFR 165 and off the shelf cam combos?

Yea I know, but not that i don't believe you but I didn't wanna believe that for $1300 I have to upgrade parts.

That's the only reason for me not getting those heads!! I'd rather send mine to Thumper and upgrade the valve size and save $600!

For $1,300, they should have better springs! I know I won't make the most power but i will be very close to 300 RWHP with a Lunati 51014.

Takes one to know one, deuche bag ;)

You sure are online a lot for someone who claims to be a Ford Tech

Personal attacks aren't needed (especially in tech)...

So if someone is online that means they don't know anything or aren't interested in a topical forum? Or for those who aren't online mean they know everything and aren't interested? Just some thoughts to ponder from your reference there...

Attacking with personal name calling (trying to bandage it up with a ";)") and then "dissing" man's occupation that gives him a meaningful living...yeah that is real mature :nonono:

:stupid: Also... I believe it's spelled "douche" :rlaugh:

As a GROWN UP-GRN92lx I can tell you the jump to a 75mm TB is nothing but a waste of cash..the gain will be ZERO because mild 302/306's are not bottlenecked by 65mm TB's...as you are indicating. 5spd may be young, but he is not only willing to listen and learn, but carries honest advise earned by experience, and has a willingness to extend that info to others. You often sound like a broken record recomending to everyone who will listen "RPMII, and 75mm TB" like that's all that's needed for success.

You did read where he said I was an idiot FIRST, correct? I would NEVER "diss" a Union job. (I believe even down south dealership techs are union, correct?)

So that makes you... Unemployed?

No, makes me off today and i'm going to work tomorrow.

Yes I did, the first comment in your quote was a "general statement" to cover those. The latter comment in my quoted post was aimed at you specifically because you seem to make a habit of it to get some of your points across. Nick (Stang8urimport) doesn't make it a habit...got me? Then saying us "young ones" are scared to go fast  I'm confused. To bad I'm looking at a supercharger right now. I'm getting it so it will slow me down...

No, we are not unionized. Would be nice, but we're not. The job sucks, and I actually quit today to go back to an old job for more money. Need to edit that sig now. lol. :nice:

I thought they were all unionized? Learned something today. Good luck with the new job.

Dman- do a search for 'Allmotor95'. See what he gained on a 302 going from a 65mm to an 80mm. I'll be here smiling after you read it :)

Did he shift at the exact same rpm? Was the track prep the same? Did he shift the exact same speed?

I personally went 3mph faster in my car with no changes (I had drove it around for a while and got more and more used to it)...and went to the track and gained 3mph...so I guess I did the 65mm TB mod to 65mm TB mod to get that gain.

Again look at killercanary's car (as pointed out by DMAN)...it is obviously not a bottleneck...and the quality is OEM style...hard to beat that...

You guys kill me arguing over the same thing week in and week out....Is there power to be gained with a 75mm tb? Who knows...too many factors to "truly" tell since the dyno can change as well the track. Is the 65mm TB to small? I dont think so since people are going fast with it.

I got the 75mm TB since i was upgrading everything from stock. BTW, what is the stock TB size? :dunno: And Jay Allen said to run the 75. If you already have a 65mm TB, put the money else where. A 75mm TB upgrade isnt going to make/break your combo. Later on down the line think about upgrading.

You guys dont get sick of saying the same thing over and over and over and over....? :bang:

The N-61 will require a stronger spring, I ran one with a 128# spring and floated them. The XE grind will work OK and the AFM cams use a soft ramp as well, you can upgrade the springs right from AFR if you want. .544/.568 228/236 110

The stock AFR springs are ok for a mild cam, but if you want to make the most of what you have with a build motor a larger more agressive cam will be needed if your NA....now forced induction is an entirly different ball game.
