AFR 165s...??

Here's what you need to be careful of - whether the people you buy them from actually have them in stock. A lot of folks shop the price, and get a deal from someone that doesn't actually have the heads. And then you're waiting an indeterminate amount of time for heads to actually show up.

Ed Curtis at FTI keeps them in stock.

I hate that crap, drop-ship companies. Once they get your money, they just take thier sweet time delivering. I think next time I buy heads I'll buy from FTI not only because they are always in stock, but the knowlegable help if needed.

Yeah I got mine from Ed Curtis...he told me he was going to work on them (my combo) on a particular weekend and I got a UPS shipping notice that following Monday and had them at the end of the week...from Rhode Island to Arkansas... :nice:

64lbs shipping weight for the AFR's...the stock heads were heavy...probably closer to 100lbs total...

I have a set of AFR 165 heads that I'm looking to sell. Bought them in early 2003, didn't get them on till 8/03, and only hava approx. 1500 miles on them. Not looking to make a killing on them. PM me if interested. Heads are in mint cond.

What didn't you like about these? I bought a pair to use on my '93 5.0L EFI (in a 1967 Cougar). I bought AFR 165's, then had Gromm Racing Heads in San Jose finish them off with ARP, and other mods.
