Just installed a set of AFR 185's with a spring upgrade along with a set of stud mounted Ford roller rockers. The clearance between the springs and the underside of the rocker is minimal and possibly making contact on a few of them. Has anyone else had this same setup with similar problems? If so, what was the fix? I figure a set of longer pushrods should give me the added clearance needed.

Also, I have never had a set of stud mounted rockers before. I installed the rockers according to the directions, zero lash, tighten set screw, torque nut. Is this the best way?

Have you checked the geometry to make sure the pushrod length is correct? If it is correct already then you do not want to put a longer pushrod in.

You say spring upgrade, stright from AFR or another source? What is the O.D of the spring? I know the FRPP rockers really are not made for a large diameter spring but sometimes they work. I use a Scorpion rocker on those set-ups with no issues.
