AFR heads, which stamped steel rockers?

OK, want to go back to stamped steel rockers, Scorpian rollers just to "sewing machine" sounding for me. My old ones are rail type...won't work, I'll swallow a valve..
Which year rocker arms do I look for to buy?
AFR's are 3/8" stud mount.
Would these work?

Can you hear them with the hood closed? Maybe your exhaust is too quiet? What valve covers?

Good old M/T valve covers I found at Ramchargers when I was a teenager.
Adjusted them correctly, did a ton of research...it's just the nature of the beast.
BUT I think I found what I needed from Crane
Crane Cams 36800-16
Will be worth it to have a silent valve train,
screw the 3-4 hp

The fins amplify the sound. I can't believe you can hear it with the hood closed.

Its funny, back 15 or so years ago, everyone wanted the solid lifter sound, gear drive whine. Now its more the "its too loud" crowd. lol

Can hear it with the hood closed....
Will give an update when I install the Cranes...
When you do a thread search you see a lot of people have this issue. This may help someone in the future who is on the fence with the rollers.

I cannot believe someone would spend $1500 on a set of heads then want give up 15-20 hp just because of a little rocker noise.

i hear mine through my hood.. albeit fiberglass and cowl induction.. i love that sound tho. course my mom sewed my entire childhood / still so maybe it's a comfort sound for me :0.

i agree that your exhaust just isn't loud enough also.

What can you do......
Will have a set of Scorpian Roller Rockers for sale soon. About 500 miles on them.

I still like the sound of the lifters and the exhaust. Mine has neither and turns no heads at the local cruise in.
