AFR Valve Spring ???

Using a TFS Stage2 cam,(542in/563ex) would i experience valve float using the AFR supplied .550 lift springs? Keep in mind, it will never see over 6200 rpm. Any Help Would Be Apprieciated. THANKS

You should get away with it, the ramp rate on the cam is not to aggressive. It will waer the stock AFR springs out quicker then a good spring.

If you want a spring upgrade, Ed Curtis has them on the shelf along with upgraded seals if you want them, around $200 for both.

The springs that come with the AFR's are junk. I just floated all of my exhaust valves in my 185's with an F Cam which only has a little over 500 lift. Even though I held the nitrous a little longer than usual I only spun the motor 6100 rpm. Do yourself a favor and put in better springs or drive that car easy.
