I was comparing the engineering development on these heads (AFR165)with my p-heads, and simply there´s no comparison. The ducts flow smoothly and are HUGE! Besides, the weight is ridiculously low. I still didn´t measure the valve coils specifications but they´re double with damper. Some small work can be done on the exhaust ducts, near the valves guide, to eliminate a small degree and in the intake after the intake hole, imediately after the curve is upwards. I´m a believer on the p-heads, but these AFR are outstanding!

I didn´t take it to the dyno, but it´s a very good combo for the street. Some folks have dynoed between 260 to 280 rwhp, if a good engine tuning has been done. Good power down low ( better after 2000rpm up to 6000rpm), nice lumpy idle, I had no problems on the surge and die syndrome. My idea was to upgrade the intake to the performer, but after reading the TMoss article about porting the Cobra intake, I´ll definetely follow this route (those U$500 will now be spent on lt´s and short h-pipes).
