which is the best to have with a stock 302? i heard that the 185's are better with a supercharger, which i plan to do in the future. are they? or can i use a 165 with a smaller intake valve and be just as happy? are there some kind of alignment problems with the 185's? they are basically the same price so i want to get the right onr the first time. one other thing , do it have something to do with the idle to 600(165's) or the 1500 to 6500(185's)?
i decided to go NA first then beef it up later with a blower.

You'll need to get the pistons notched with the 185's as they have 2.02" intake valves. 165's should be fine. Something like TFS might be better with a blower in future.

165s have 190intake160exhaust valves that will clear the stock pistons. The 185s have 202intake 160exhaust there may be a piston to valve problem. So you may have to break down the engine to fly cut the piston for clearance with the 185s.

Or get dished pistons to clear the valves on the 185's ,which will lower your compression to a more blower friendly level.
