So we completed the engine pull and install.

Bought the 97 engine on craigslist. It had been sitting for almost 6 months, after a final check and a few seconds of cranking, without coils plugged in, to build oil pressure it fired right up.

Now I just need to do the heater core and get an alignment!

AAR should have also reflected how quiet that stock exhaust sounds... j/k

Congrats on the engine swap and stick some 3.73s, 4.10s, 4.30s, or 4.56s out back in place of the 2.73 gear that's in there...Cobra motor will LOVE it !

Wish i could afford a couple of mufflers. IMO it sounds great up past 4k but severely lacking from idle up to.

An recommendations for a best bang for the buck?

The lower sounding the better as long as it dont drone I do a lot of highway.

Or midpipe with stick mufflers sounds good
