Tough gig crane, which Blower...F1, Novi, Vortech? lol.
I would love to have those problems haha
90lxcoupe made a good point. especially with your T56, you're gonna be shifting all the time on the race track to keep the motor in the sweet spot...call it 4000-7000 rpm's? Kind of like with a 2 stroke motocross bike, you're always shiftin to stay "on the power"

With that said, I'm a huge fan of the Novi2000 and comparable Vortech units. I have no real world experience with Prochargers (have heard good and bad???) I have had 2 friends that have run the Novi2000 and they are mean blowers. They were both pullied for roughly 14lbs and these blowers were just starting to sing. I think an aftercooler would help matters (advanced timing, more power, run more boost, consistency...) but they are not cheap.

You could put a smaller pulley on the blower to introduce more boost at lower rpm's, but if you take the motor up to 7k, then your blower is going to be screamin and I don't know your CR. Dart blocks can handle anything, but I don't know if you'll run into detonation/pinging @ 7k. Lot of decisions to make...fun ones!

Me? Novi2000....then Vortech

yeah i know what you mean i ride a cr500, mean ****in bike, but i want to have power lower as well for the AutoX courses those roades are typically 2k-5k courses with a few 7k straights, as far detonation and pinging, i'll be running race fuel for all tracked events and a pump gas tune for cars shows, so im gonna keep reading up on all of these chargers and i'll definitely let you guys know what i eventually go with

CR500 is an angry bike! Rode one once, my arms were a bit longer afterwards lol. Been google searchin "road race engines" and it looks like a lot of guys are running Vortech units and about half are incorperating aftercoolers. Tough part is you have TONS of options. Keep at it. You could try the road racing threads on corral for some insight?

i tend to stay away from corral, people over there irritate me, ive been reading on CC and everyone there is all die hard road racers, competing in AIX NASA etc, so they all say N/A im not gonna go that far so im just fine with hitting some track days every so often when i have time

Vortech just came out with a new positive displacement blower, i just read in CC that they will be offering a kit for windsor motors, i checked thier website and there was not much info, you should give them a call. I read on thier site that the intake manifold can support up to a 3.3L blower. that would definitly make your power goals, and originally i know you wanted to use a KB. Since vortech will actually make it possible to put a larger blower on a pushrod motor that might be something to look into.

Just figured i'd throw that out there and make your decision a little tougher
