Since I live in wonderful King County, I have to take my Cobra in every other year for emissions testing. I'm currently thinking of buying either a Bassani SS or SLP LM catback. I'll most likely keep the rest of the exhaust stock for now.

Will I have any problems when I go for emissions testing because of the louder exhaust, especially with the SLP LM and its resonators? I don't know if they are only concerned about the emissions or also do noise control as well.

If I did go with the SLP exhaust, should I get the LM II mufflers for it and swap those in when I go for testing?

Just took mine in, passed just fine. On the newer stangs the plug into the OBD II port and look for codes.

Never smelled the tail pipes or looked under the hood.

Your car will be sniffed and ran on the rollers.

Stupid thing is they check your gas cap to see if it leaks........dumb azz's if the cap was bad the check engine light would be on !

I think that as long as you have some form of cat, you should be fine.

I have never heard of them doing a noise check.

I feel your pain friend, I have to have the 408w inspected in July :bang:

Good to know...

Thanks for the replies. When I went last year, they sniffed, did the rollers, and checked the gas cap. I just wasn't sure if they would say something because it was louder than stock. It sounds like there shouldn't be a problem when I do have to go in (not until next year).
