AHAHAHah more parts~PICS! (56k no go!)

Well, I decided to change my setup...again... Checkout all the nice Maximum Motorsports stuff they just happened to leave at my door step!

From left to right: 03/04 cobra shocks w/ groove for coilovers, coilover kit w/ 575lb springs, bolt through tie rod end link kit, diff bushings, tubular A-arms non-offset with urethane bushings, K-member 4.6l, spherical rack bushings, motive 3.90 gears.

Coilovers and shocks.

Endlinks and diff bushings.

Motive 3.90 gears.

Maximum Motorsports K-member - total weight w/ 2 point brace, 42lbs.

Oh yeah and 04 cobra IRS with billetflow IRS diff brace, MM subframe bushings, MM low profile subframe bolts (cough, 10.5" rims, cough).

Magnaflow catback, picked it up for CHEAP

I still gotta order IRS rear steer kit (Don't know if I'll need it yet), new front bumper, 17x9" & 17x10.5" wheels with some nice R compounds, some interior goodies, and 03/04 cobra front bumper

I went with urethane bushings all around instead of delrin/aluminum because this is still a street car, and the NVH from solid mounts is pretty meh.

That is an amazing pile of parts! I bet it costed an amazing ammount of money too. Are you going for the corner carver attitude or something?

Yeah I have about $2500 invested right there...but after selling my built solid axle, all the suspension stuff, and some front end bits I don't need anymore...total cost is around $500 I've always been a corner carver

Everything goes in this weekend if I can get my buddy to do the gears for me (Don't got the pinion depth gauge needed for measuring with the motive gears, blah!). It's gonna be nice...seeing as I have only driven the car twice since November!

Didn't you have IRS and then swap back to a solid axle? If so, is this the same IRS you took out? or is it a new setup completely?

Also, what are you doing with your new cat back... I assume all of this is for sale!!

This is a different IRS, I got the last solid axle for free + 700 for the IRS, alls I had to do was put it in the guys car, hehe. I always liked the IRS, but I switched because my last one had no ABS (broken sensors), and needed a diff rebuild, so I just got rid of it

I sold my Borla catback for solid axle, new magnaflows are going in the car

So far I just have the stuff left for sale in my sig, but I found the parts to put the dustboots and mounts back on the shocks, and I have rear swaybar and stock K-member to get rid of too haha

Oh yeah, and aluminum MMR 950 5.0 stroker goes in at the end of the summer along with new fuel system

I knew that would be in there somewhere!!! So what are the plans? I figure you can push that little SQ (I think) trim to the limit! 500HP here you come... 600HP If plans call for heads and cams!!! Watch out Here comes Benny!!!

Hehe, even where I am now I'm pushing estimated 430-435 (dyno after the car can roll again LOL)... It's a solid 11 second car as it sits now...but like I eluded to with all the turn fast parts, I'm not exactly just a straight line burner haha. By the time I do heads/cams, I might actually switch over to custom turbo setup, so gotta figure out what I wanna do by then!

Let me know when you do... I should be ready for a Mongoose kit by then (I figure with 1 to 2 years) and with the amount of miles you drive your kit will still be like new !!

Are you going to install yourself?

Also, on SVTP the aluminum diff bushings are preferred over the urethane due to the fact that urethane will melt and the aluminum bushing is an adjustable design to allow adjustment of pinion angle. You are going to need to be able to adjust pinion angle with the modified suspension components. You might consider going with the aluminum bushing or at least calling MM's tech line to ask them about it... Most people say the NVH is not really that bad but you ARE doing gears so any whine present will be transmitted by the aluminum bushing... The bad news is that the aluminum bushing costs five times as much

Yeah I can adjust the pinion angle, just gotta buy washers of various sizes and I have access to a lathe at work. I've had the urethane bushings before and was satisfied with them, and the amount of NVH (Mostly NV) that solid mounting rear end components can cause is not good for a daily driver. Very true about any whine from gears being transmitted through, my buddy has 4.30's that sound like an angry cat due to the solid mounts in his setup hah. The whole melting thing isn't going to be a problem, I'm not going to be open tracking the car competitively. This is my daily driver/fun street car/weekend autox & drag car.

All installs are done myself, done this stuff countless times on my car and others...it's second nature by now.

LOL but seriously man..AWSOME! You have a nice pile of parts there, thats crazy. And I bet you have a big credit card bill like me . (its almost all payed for )

And holy cow that MM front end looks SOLID and incerdibly strong! But its definatly heavy. I think my PA racing one was like 25#s or something. I know I lost about 50 #s between the K member and coilovers...and removing the dogbone kicked it down another 8.

You guys are going to pass me....no doubt. Im pretty much stopping on the car now and will start saving to get into real estate...my dad is actually pushing for me to buy some sub frame connectors lol. I KNOW I need them, but I dont want to spend anything else on the car . Oh and yea im 20...21 next month .

Lucky bastard Credit card? Not for me, all checking here! I learned early not to spend money I don't have (hell, I hated spending this money before I had most-all my solid rear stuff sold lol).

I was looking at the PA racing piece, especially since they are an Indiana company and all...but the MaxMotors stuff is just second to none in quality and construction! My stock K-member was ~68lbs last time I took it out, so I'm still saving some weight...and I already have the coilovers, and tubular A-arms shave off quite a bit as well (they are around 12lbs each).

My real main goal with this car is quality, comfort, and performance. I hate having to do things twice (suspension setup), but if I'm gonna do it, I figure why not do it up the best, and exactly the way I want it to be

^ Yea I usually just pay out of my bank.(on the card and pay the card off when it comes in)
But the problem was that I was paying $800 pre month, since the 3rd month of owning it...bought new in MAY of 04, on my car and in november 06 wrote out a CHECK(no card haha) for over $5000 and payed it off I could have payed for the TT stuff sure....but paying off the car took priority

And yea you definatly need the MM stuff since you like going around the twisties...that extra bracing is definatly a good idea. Oh and just to show you how I drive my car....my cars front springs are 175#ers, yours are 400#s stiffer . You would laugh at my car handles I bet HAHAHA (although it seems fine to me ...but I bet its bad in reality)
