AHH need 3g upgrade help!

Just got my 3g alt today. I bought it off ebay and the guy said its from his 94 GT. It is a Motorcraft and it is a 130 amp but i cant figure out how to mount it, i dont think it will fit my bracket. I know im supposed to grind some of the bracket but the mounting holes arent even close to lining up. Heres a pic of the stock next to the 130 amp, should the 130 amp be able to fit?????

Yes, I believe you have to grind some metal off of the lower part of the bracket. Let me see if I can find the 3g upgrade link.

as long as you can get it to lineup and not be crazy backwards or something... you should be fine.
maybe you can compaire it from the pic that i will post vs the ones that you have....
the stuff that yo uhave to grind off though is maybe just a bit bigger than the upper segment of your thumb.

I may be wrong but that 3g alt you are showing in your pic does not look like a 94/95 alternator. It looks like a 96+

The 94/95 mount like the Fox bodies. I dont think that will fit without extensive modifications.

This is the 94/95 and the mounting points on yours look different. Maybe its just me. Anyone else see it?

Yep... the bottom mount is in the wrong position.

Yeah i figured it was wrong, well the guy did include wiring and stuff can i still use that?? Oh and by the way i have a 130 amp alt for a 96+ GT anybody need one!!!

Hey JerryD what kind of paint did you use on that bracket?? I thought about polishing but it would be way to long, i like that color what is it?

it is Rust-o-leium(sp) in a spray can, just got it at wal mart. i dunno what the actual name for the color is though.
