Air Filter

Hello everybody! I have an '87 5.0 that I purchased some months back and I'ts been sitting in my garage. Finally had some time late last week to get in under the hood and start checking things out in detail and found out there wasnt an air filter in it all! Since I've never actually purchased one before, I wanted to ask all of you: What is the best bang for the buck air filter to use on my car? AND where would be the cheapest place to obtain said air filter?

K&N pannel filter with the air baffle removed will be as good as any cold air intake kit....

What exactly is the air baffle? Anybody have a pic of where it is exactly under the hood? <----Not mechanically inclined.

it will be a funnel shaped plastic unit attaching to the inlet side of your airbox. it extends into your fender if I remember right (geez it's been so long). remove it for better airflow and just leave your airbox

Cant really Get a good look at it, but its off to the left... Also a K&N (Bigdog)

Im gonna go digging for it tonight! It's should be pretty easy to recognize right? Funnel shaped?

it's in the inner fender.....bolted to the airbox.
