Air freshener oil ate my dash paint

I bought an air freshener for cars. For some reason they provided nothing to secure it down with. I work out on a windy road and it fell over and slid across my dash. About three minutes later I arrived at work and started cleaning up the spilled oil. The paint came off of every part that had been exposed to the oil.

How can I restore it back to the original state? (black)

Take the dash off and paint it with what to get the original look?

Go to your dealer, you can get the same interior paint and repaint the dash. Yes, a good bit of the interior is painted.

I stick with the spray air fresheners. My favorite is Vanilla scent Ozium. You can find it at Advance Auto and probably every other auto parts store. I just spray a few spritzes under the front seats and it lasts for a few days.

Wow, I've never heard of this! That's crazy! Which brand was it?

It was the "Air Wick Mobile". I looked at the package after I made this post and I realized that its not meant for a car. There are no warnings about the fragrance that say anything other than it might irritate your skin/eyes though.

Update: I sent a comment from the manufacturer's website. I wasn't expecting anything, I just told them it fell over and the oil damaged the painted surface. I mentioned there was no warning of it.

I never got a response and forgot about it then today I got a letter in the mail saying they were sorry that happened and things like that. Included was a $6.50 check and two $3 coupons for any of their products.

I was thrilled, haha. That won't cover the cost of paint (just the air freshener) but its a whole lot better than nothing.
