air silencer removal

i just picked up a 04 GT 5 speed for the wife. it has a SLP catback for but it's stock other then that.
-i keep hearing people talk about the air intake silencer and that it's a great FREE mod.
i know the deal on the 5.0's but on the 4.6 do i just take off the stock air box and then pull it out or what needs to be done.

Just yank off the rubber snorkel piece that funnels from the intake into the fender well. No tools, no hardware, very little time invested.

Be sure and clean the area under it, just use a wash mitt.

Get a k&n filter while your at it. This is a cheap mod and you gain just as much as you do from an aftermarket cold air intake
