Exhaust Air tube Broke at Cat during bbk catted h pipe swap

So like the title says I was trying to remove the air pipe off my old stock catted mid pipe and it broke off. In the bbk catted h pipe kit I bought I see there is a short piece of hose and two hose clamps. Am I right I’m thinking this was included for just this situation and can be used to rejoin the air tube to the new bbk midpipe? Or do I need to try and find some tube and weld a patch in?

Input for a fix is welcome!!
