Hi Guys,

The brakes (13" alcon rotors and 4 pot calipers) on my 96 s281 seem to be shockingly bad.... you really have to stand on the middle pedal to slow the car down at all.. and the pedal is rock solid !!! its seriously like someone has a brick behind the pedal and you have to compress it to slow the car down

ok, so ive checked for the brick, that's not there, the pads and discs "look" fine, plently of meat left on both. The only thing i can think of is the old brake fluid, im not sure that it's ever been changed, so that "could" make it 10 years old, but usually old fluid gives a spongey pedal....

or is this just how these brakes are? if this is normal I'll be upgradeing for sure, but i cant see that they should be like this, theyre just too hard and dont slow well at all

any help or advice would be HUGELY appreciated

thanks
