All Ford Day at Bremerton Racetrack, Saturday, July 17

What a terrible weekend to have the Ford Drags on.... With the Pony Trails on Friday and the People Choice show at Bellevue College on Sunday, it wouldn't leave any car cleaning time if I went and raced.

Someone needs to talk to the person who puts on this event and tell them to take a look at the schedule next year and put the drags a different weekend. I know of 4 of us that would head down there if it wasnt the same weekend as the show.

I agree completely. This happens every year. I will mention something to them this year. Last year, they just let us make passes after the scheduled events were over. I could have raced 20 times. They give away many door prizes as well. I won a little compressor last year.

Hey John,

If you didn't see, I got my little red LX to a 12.53 last week. I talked to you and a friend of yours for quit a while a couple of Friday nights ago. Have the new springs ready to go in and won't bog my launch next time!! Hopefully you are at the track next time I go so you can watch my car and give me your opinion on what it's doing and help me squeak a couple more tenths out of it.

I saw your posts, well done! You'll probably reach your goal easily at Bremerton. You have the horsepower!

How'd you do??? I'm hoping you fared better than I... Had to leave it up to my wife to bring home the hardware this year with a 1st in the judged show... The N20Jnky didn't even place!!!! The competition was very stiff....

Let me know how the All Fords went...

Competition must have been very tough! You still have a beatiful car.

I set a couple records. My best 60 ft. with drag radials is now 1.59, and I ran my best best ET! I found a couple more tenths by shifting sooner -12.38 at 111. I think there will be better times to come. The last record set was for least time between passes: 2 minutes 30 seconds! This shows how few cars were there. A racer could have made 20 passes. Are you going to go to the track again after the national event (That's about 10 days away)? Traction is usually great!

Wow!!! Way to go on the 60' and the ET.... Was that with the Underachiever???? My guess is that with the MPH you have about maxed out your ET - maybe 0.1 more reduction is possible but you are getting things done!!!!! Have you ever used a shift point calculator to determine your optimal shift point???

I plan on being at the track today (Wednesday the 21st) but will not be able to make it next week as I will be out of town... That bums me as I know the track is in it's best shape right after the NHRA event... I'm trying to figure out how I can sneak my car in for a run during the event as I will be there on Sunday... Ya think they would notice if I lined up against Force?????

I'll look for you tonight on the off chance that you'll be there...

UGH!!!!

Glad you posted when you did, otherwise I would have wasted a trip down to Kent!!!!! Course now I'm all ready to race and have no place to go... Oh, well... See you next time...

I just called... They are NOT open tonight... I checked their website and it also says that they are NOT open tonight so I'm now sure what schedule you are looking at that says they are... Hmmmmm....

That was a lesson for me: Always call PR before making a trip. Oh well, on the bright side, I found the 351 car to be a decent commuter. I think PR's next track day is Friday the 30th of July.

The track area looked like a mobile home park -a beehive of activity, too!
