I currently have a Pro-motion FWA, BBK adjustable cable, and BBK quadrant.

My question is do all single hook quadrants locate the cable at the same spot? My current setup with the BBK quadrant leaves me no more room for adjustment on my adjustable cable, let alone install a factory cable which I would like to use. It seems like the only way for me to use a stock cable is get a 3 hook design so the cable can hook closer to the firewall, giving myself more room to work at the bell housing.

I assume because my quadrant is made for an adjustable cable and no FWA, it grabs the cable further back. The kits which market the use of a stock cable probably grab the cable more towards the firewall to give the FWA more room to work.

I like the UPR quadrant cause I can move my cable closer to the firewall using the 3 hooks. I also like the Steeda but am unsure if I will get as close to the firwall as the UPR being only 2 hook.

Any thoughts???

To answer your question, no. For instance, old school SVO single-hook quadrants have about twice the throw of the UPR single hook quadrant. This means the UPR single hook works with the OEM cable but the SVO quad wont work with an OEM cable.

Those are the only two single hooks I have used, so I cant comment further.

Good luck.

I had no problems with my BBK adj cable and quadrant but with the addition of a FWA, I lost a good amount of freeplay and need a quadrant to give me back what I lost. If I ever get enough freeplay, I would like to install this new stock cable I have laying in my room....
