I’m In San Antonio we have a tropical storm from the gulf and I was driving back home & I noticed cel light & all of a sudden I’m getting all these codes? 22,29,32,51,53,54 has anyone had this issue driving in rain? Anywhere in particular area (harness/connector where these all could’ve gone haywire at same time? I have a 89 coupe as I said didn’t have any codes at all yesterday/earlier just after drive right now

After you clean them you should spread the male pins a little if you can as these connectors are a known problem with getting loose connections. Then use a little dielectric grease to help keep water out.

So is it possible rain caused this? I’m still cleaning spraying them off and haven’t run codes again yet

That connector is located pretty high in the engine bay. It would take a big puddle to splash water up that high.

But most of those codes are ACT, EGT, EGR which are related through the injector harness

Code 29 is VSS which is wiring under the car

Code 22 is the BAP. This is wired pretty direct to the ECU with no connections. Some of these codes may be unrelated.

I'm nto entirely convinced this is a 10-pin connector issue, but I would start there.

Thanks I cleaned those and added dialetric greese turned car on parked at idal and ran codes all went away with exception of 32 same as before . The 10 pin connectors I actually had them sitting low on to of trans so they wouldn’t be seen I’m gonna drive the car to get tacos and look for the cel light. Then either way when I get back I’ll run codes again I’ll update. Thanks gentlemen!

Code 91:

Code 41 and 91

both for KOER test. 41/91 just replaced the O2 sensors. dont know what could be the problem.

Code 32 (Post #6):

Code 32 canister to EGR valve control system

Sometimes my check engine light will come and shut down the engine. STUCK on side of the road. After it cools down, it will start and run. Never know when this will happen. Second time it has done this. New EGR valve and solenoid. Any ideas from any of you experts?

I’m stumped! I just replaced the egr valve and now instead of code 32 now I have a 34? I also bought a new egr sensor about a year ago?

Car will still run fine with an EGR code. You need to fix the lean condition which may be a O2 sensor or its actually lean.

The EVP on top of the EGR valve is the most likely culprit
Do the pinpoint tests for the code 32
The low voltage out of the EVP sensor is most likely the sensor itself
The black and white EVP sensors do not interchange
