Camping World Scammers

I've never bought a trailer from these guys (whew) but it's not to say that the folks I bought my camper from, don't do the same things.

I'll be looking into it more when I get home from work. :ninja:

This is one of those things that [needs] to go viral.

Camping World is not the only one's pulling this kind of crap.

+1 on renting before you buy.

It pays to watch closely and to read the fine print in any big ticket purchase. One thing that I do that cuts through all the buying excitement and showroom intrigue is to delineate in writing everything I want from them in the transaction...settle with them on a full purchase price...then, leave and review the agreement in private before returning with a check---no showroom financing. Btw, I purchased a trailer from a Camping World store several years ago using this method and paid only the agreed upon price. Maybe their sales force is trained differently now...hard to say. Note that I've never seen an RV that comes with everything you need, so plan accordingly and think about each additional item you purchase---some of it is stuff you may already have in a different wrapper. Cheers!

With the exception of one instance, I always went through a credit union for camper loans. You don't need a degree in theoretical mathematics to use their amortization table.

Big Al's Campers and Ribs (and apparently now Camping World) cannot make that claim.
