Since the car's going to be idle for the next 5 months, you could just drain the coolant from the engine altogether and then you won't have to worry about it freezing.

As far as it sucking that I have to put it away--not really. Cuz snowmachine season starts in less than a month!!!
I call the 95 my "summer sled" anyway. Hate to tell you guys, but riding in 4-5 FEET of fresh powder beats driving the vert any day.
I would be a little bummed out to put the car away this early, but since you're in AK, that's reasonable.
Still too early to put 'em away for winter around here. Haven't had any snow/salt yet, so they get driven on those nice cool, crisp, sunny days late into the season before storage.Think I went pretty close up to Christmas one year with the '01 back in '02 or '03, no snow or salt on the ground up until that holiday - which was RARE.
You guys up north...or in your case REALLY UP NORTH...as in Santa has to go UP to you lol. Kinda sucks you have to put it away 6-7mo after getting it out. At least you have plenty of time to do winter activities....I want to snowboard in AK SOOOOOOO bad.
My plates expired 09-30-10 and I taken some time to go over some items. Might get it plated again this month...might not as we are not far out from sub zero temps ourselves.
Put the 95 away for the winter. Only an inch of snow on the ground right now, but seasonal registration says I can't drive it between Nov 1 and Mar 31.

Car is only legal to drive April 1-Oct 31. Registration fee is the same as a year-round car, and I pay a "seasonal registration fee" that's the same amount as an IM test.Just curious, but how does your seasonal registration work?
