Okay, I ordered way back in September and still no VIN #. The dealer I order from has told me time and time again he had no idea when he was going to get allocations. I have spoke to several other dealers during my extended wait. They have all told me that they do know when they get allocations. If they did not know the exact date they had a pretty good idea. Does anyone out there know? Do dealers know when they are to receive allocations??

I know fat chance in H@#l that my order is going to go through now with the delay in the IUP. But, I still want to know if this guy has been feeding me a line of c@#p?

That dealer is stupid and not telling you the truth.

The Mustang is not a car that Ford allocates to a dealer. Dealers can order as many as they want. You shoudl go to another dealer. You should have had you car by now. it only takes 15 minutes for a dealer to put a order in and they usually put them in once a week.

Go to another dealer, I ordered my GT on Oct 26th, it was build the week of Nov 29th and I took it home Dec 16th. I don't know how you have waited so long, I thought the 7 weeks I waited for my order was plenty and it was a hard wait. You are a better man than me to wait that long.
Your car should have been built even before these IUP holdups began. Good luck to you my friend.

This is not correct. Ford allocates EVERY vehicle the dealer gets. Usually with things like taurus, crown vic, t-bird they allocate too many and you have to turn them down. The current allocations, especially in the cold climate areas, are extremely small right now. As we move toward spring this will change but it is tough right now.
