ohh yeah,
I picked up a 3" downpipe from stinger today and that nearly complete the big parts I will need.
Since I am having so much trouble finding a descent head, I am just going to bolt the turbo and everything up to my current setup and run 9psi. I will retard the timing as much as I have to to cope with 9.9:1 compression, but I beleive the cam will really help the detonation issue, becuase it lowers my effective compression ratio to less than it was at a stock 9:1. In any case, I will keep looking for a head to put my turbo valves and A231 cam in, along with lots of porting on the head.
My setup will be as follows:
3" dp to 2.5 exhaust
ported E6
T3 (which will hopefully hold up... I rebuilt it myself ;) )
9.9:1 compression
cam 220-220 @.050 .454 lift
CAI
LB3 w/big vam and browntops
.030 over diamonds w/stock rods
and whatever it can stand for timing
I am hoping for 185hp at the flywheel and high 15's
Later on, I will swap on a ported head with a lower CR, up the boost, and eventually do a t5 swap when the A4ld gives up.

did your parents finally give in to the turbo? Also how tough was rebuilding the turbo. I move home again on Sunday and start a new job. This Also means the process of rebuilding the motor starts. Cant swap till i have a useable turbo though. Been considering rebuilding mine but not sure whats involved.

nope, just moved out to an appartment ;).
rebuilding the turbo is hit or miss I think. The hardest part is getting the turbine bolts off, and the compressor nut off. Then, you just need a pair of snap ring pliers. If you have a lot of up and down play on the turbo, you will probably won't be able to rebuild it yourself. Some of the bearings ride on the center section, and the center section seems to wear out as well. As it turned out, my turbo had been rebuilt before with overside bearings. I ended up using the old bearings with all new seals. You might be better off find a new center section off ebay or whatever.
