Am I the only one with a Pony stitched on the front seats? Ford seems to think so....

I took my car in for oil change, and to fix my seats. i made a post about it once, on how it was melting/holing up a while back. i finally was able to take it in today. and after hours & hours of waiting, (lost 6 hrs of work today), he told me if i had put aftermarket seats on my car!!!!! THE FREAKING SEATS ARE STOCK!!! the idiots dont even know what the sell. and to top that off, i have a honey comb rear panel, and the dumbasses thought my car was a "special edition" because of it, and that is why they cant seem to find the seats with ponies stitched on them. damn, they pissed me off, and to make it worse. If they cant find it, theyre going to put the plain one with no pony, while my other one will have one???!!!! I WILL NOT FREAKING LET THEM DO THAT!

anyways, any of you know part numbers for these covers. this would help very much. it seems that i know about what they have than they do.

I have basically the same car as you only its a 2003GT and it definately has the ponies on the seats. I just noticed a small rip starting in my leather seat and I have only been driving it since may. Are they planning on charging you anything or does the warrenty cover it without a problem?

it is covered by warranty, but they cant find the right cover. what pisses me off, is that they dont know crap and i dont want plain seat covers or mixed.

That sucks. I got some deep vein mark lines on my driver's seat coushion, but the vien marks are not rips. They look more like deep cracks. I haven't driven my GT very much since I got it brand new in August of 2001. It's a 2001 GT. I only have 1,279 original miles on it and my driver's seat coushion has deep vein mark lines on it. IS THIS NORMAL? Why does my driver's seat coushion have these deep veins on it when I don't even drive the car at all? I got it detailed three times in 2 1/2 years. The last time that I got it detailed in the summertime, the detailer detailed my seats for the very 1st time. And he did a very good job detailing the seats and the rest of the interior. I don't really remember if the viens were as noticeable before I got the car detailed. I think that they were there before I got the car detailed, but they were not as noticeable. It's really cold up here and we get zero degree weather all the time in the wintertime. I am wondering if the low temperatures here can cause the leather on the seat coushion to stretch causing the veins to appear. What do you think is the cause of this? The car is stored in an open carport garage. The driver's seat back is fine. And the passenger seat coushion and seat back do not have any veins on them. It's just the driver's seat coushion that has the veins. Keep in mind that I have only driven the car about 10 to 12 times since I bought it brand new. I always get in and out of the car with care and I don't rub my behind on the seat coushion when I'm inside the car. So I don't know WHY or HOW I already have deep vein marks on the driver's seat coushion. Can anyone in here help me out? Thanks.

I couldnt find them and I pretty much searchd everywhere, its just like it doesnt exist or something

If someone doesnt come up with them, i'd try calling some other dealerships, there are seat covers on ebay, but not the same material/color as yours though..

I never wiggle my ass on the seat coushion or wear anything which can scratch or puncture the seat coushion. I am VERY careful. I also own a 2002 V6 Mustang and it has 18,8xx miles on it and the driver's seat does NOT have this problem like my 2001 GT does. Why is it that the leather driver's seat coushion in my 2002 V6 Mustang with 18,8xx miles on it doesn't have these vien marks and why is it that my 2001 GT with only 1,279 have them? Do the GT leather seats have thinner leather than the V6 leather seats? WHAT CAUSED my GT driver's seat to have the vein marks on the driver's seat coushion if I only drove the GT for only 10-12 times and only put 1,279 miles on the car???? The vein marks are VERY noticeable. IS THIS NORMAL when you don't sit in the GT and use the car a lot??

Jesus Christ, how much effort does it take to look at your own G.D. product....

You need to take care of that leather - there is a product made by Eagle 1 and others thats like a lotion that you rub into the leather. The leather care products keep the leather soft and reduces cracks. It'll make most of those lines go away. Its a good idea to put that stuff on a couple times a year. Its kept my seats looking pretty good.
