So last week one of my tires blew. I went to buy some 275-40-17 which were back order because they were out of stock. The plan was for them to go on the stock 8'' rims which i was told by a local shop would be fine. later that night i found these would not fit well so i contacted them and cancelled the order and replaced an order for 245. long story short my tires came yesterday 3 of which being 285-35-18s and 1 being 275-40-17 WTF REALLY i dont even have a matching set.... so im still out of a car. huge inconvience

So what the hell do i do now? Was thinking of getting some 18'' rims but will the 285 fit a 9'' front rim without rubbing? (plan on lower in the future) i know they'll be good with a 10'' rear.

Sorry for this mix-up! Shoot me an email directly with what you want to do with these tires. We can take them back and send out the correct ones or take the 17" back and send you another 18". Either way, we'll take care of you!

Yeah, AM customer service is great. BTW Chris Young no longer works there or so I was told. I tried getting up with him to get the new forum code and couldn't. They informed me when I called that he had left AM. They will defenitely get you taken care of, again, their customer service has always been excellent.

+1. I've only ever had one issue with them, and that was that they sent out the wrong set of floor mats. Called them up, they sent out the correct set and a shipping label to ship the others back, no questions asked. They (or Bama at least) were also fantastic when I bought a SCT programmer for my granddad's Mach 1. I've never heard of anyone that has had a problem with them that they didn't fix. The few guys I've seen on forums who continue to complain about AM, even when AM goes above and beyond to correct the problem, are almost always losers who want something for nothing or simply can't be pleased.

Agreed, morans are the worst. Glad they are getting you all fixed up. They do have really good customer service.

Th OP's biggest problem though, is that he was sent 18" tires but he has 17" wheels. He was talking about maybe getting new rims but if he does that... why would anyone buy a 8" wide wheel for a 275?

The other thing is that 3 of the tires he got were 285s, not 275s. Now we're getting into unsafe territory vs. just not recommended.

It's cool to see American Muscle step up.

Don't get what the big fuss in this thread was about...no matter what the customer did about cancelling the order AM still shipped a set of mismatched tires LOL.

Was just screwing with you, but by all means get all butt hurt over it. Found it funny someone using the term moron spelled it wrong. But now that I know meant to spell it wrong, your certainly a genius in my eyes.

Moran is an internet meme. Correcting spelling is a waste of time.
