Just installed Flowmaster American Thunder cat back today and must say I like it. It has that Flowmaster sound but is not too loud, almost no drone, pulls harder, and the throttle response is 10 times better. I had Borla pro xs welded ino the factory system and was impressed with those and now I'm very impressed with the Flows. It pulls a little harder up top but pulls alot harder in the low and mid range. With this exhaust I can now roast the tires through first and second from a roll were I couldn't before. At first I was worried about the performance because I didn't want to lose power but that's not the case.

Glad to hear you like them. Did you really notice a better SOTP gain over the Borla?

In the low and midrange a huge difference. Before if I took off normal and gunned it I wouldn't spin, now I spin like crazy. Throttle response is so much better. It also could be because of the bigger pipes too. Not to mention the sound at idle is awesome and the Flows drone alot less than my Borlas did.

i bought an american thunder catback in august. i liked it, but i wanted something different than everybody else so i purchased a bassani cb and x pipe in february. much much better sound and power imo.

that was precisely they system i had as well... loved the sound... but, it was too loud in the cabin at cruizn' speed or at 70-80 mph... so i took them off and got the magna flow cat back.. much mellower and the wife and kids love it! :nice:

I think you might have had a potato in one of your exhaust pipes. I have the Borlas welded in on my car and two of my buddies have the Flowmaster AT catback. My car pulls way harder in any situation.

A strait through muffler on a stock system should out flow a chamberd catback. Bigger isn't always better when it comes to pipe size behind the mufflers.
