I started to tear into it today. Only got to work in it for about two hours. I took off the front bumper, and support. The blower and started to take off the intake. I am hoping to have it out in the nexy couple of days.

Little scary the first time rippin into an unfamiliar engine eh Joe? I know I'm not exactly an expert but feel free to ask me anything and if you need a hand I always love to get my hands dirty.

Mine is just on the opposite side of that, going back in tomorrow. Good luck with the build. Like Red2000 said just ask if something isn't working out. I know that stupid motor inside out and backwards now and every bolt in between.

You can say that again. I have been reading and reading on how to do everything with the mod motors.

The thing I am dredding the most is the timing chains. It is a pretty simple thing to do really but having never done it before is always a little nerve racking. One thing am am wondering is how to take out the front and rear seals. I haven't read on hoe to take them out.

I actually can't wait to get into it. I should have it out and on the stand soon.

Hey thanks Mike. I am thinking this might be something to use as an educational experience for something else I am working on.

We will talk about that later.

Well day two went pretty good. I got the whole wiring harness undone. The intake out, A/C and P/S unbolted. Not bad for only 3.5 hours and having to run after a 2 year old.

I am going to take the x-pipe off, unbolt the starter and tranny and get ready to pull it out. If all goes well and I can get my hands on a shop crane I should have it on the stand by Monday or Tuesday.
