Anderson N41 Cam

Does anyone on here know the Specs on the Anderson N41 Cam they are not listed on there web site? Also anyone who in running it what heads are you running with it and what do you think about the idle quality, sound, and performance?

I am thinking about running this with 58cc AFR 165's. I know it will run good with Trick Flow Heads because that's what Anderson sells as a Kit on there website http://www.andersonfordmotorsport.com

I'm running AFR 165s 61cc with an Edelbrock Performer intake and N41 Cam. I love the way it sounds at idle. I havn't had a chance to tune or dyno yet, I had a great power gain though, that I can already feel.

The cam specs straight off of the card are for a 302HO/351:
Advertise Duration .006 - Intake:278 / Exhaust: 286
Duration at .050 - In:222 / Ex:230
Timing events at .050 - In: 1/41 Ex: 45/5
Lobe Lift @ Cam - In:.320 / Ex:.320
Gross valve lift w/ 1.6 - In:.512 / Ex:.512
Lobe Seperation 110
Degree intake lobe to 106
Valve Lash (Hot) - In:0 / Ex:0

Ok thanks allot on the cam specs 91Stang and smallstang393 I presume you are running it with a 5 speed I am guessing I would need a 2800 stall converter to run this cam.

From the specs this cam looks fairly radical in the duration numbers for a stock bottom end, 91 Stang did you have any Piston to valve clearance issues? I bet it does sound mean as hell, you don't happen to have a sound clip of it idling and revving? Also did you go from the stock cam with AFR's to the N41 or did you do the heads and the cam at the same time?

I did the heads and cam swap at the same time and no I didn't have any piston to valve clearance issues. I made sure of this before I went ahead and bought everything. You are correct that I have a 5 Speed, so therefore I couldn't help too much with an AOD, sorry. As far as videos, I have two that you can check out. The one you can hear some chatter at the engine, but this was before I got a valve adjustment. Hope you enjoy.

Oh yea those work! I think you just made my day…... that sounds freaking awesome! That's exactly what I was hoping it would sound like. Sounds like it idles pretty good also but with that nice cam chop to it, what exhaust I your running 2 or 3 chamber flows and an X-pipe? Just curious why you chose the 61cc heads over the 58cc heads? I am trying to make my mind up on this as well as I have not ordered the heads yet?

I am not going to lie, when I bought my car about 4 years ago, it already had these flows on it, so I couldn't even tell you haha, sorry. But I have a MAC Pro-Chamber H Pipe, I liked this one much better then a regular MAC H Pipe, which I originally had.

I chose the 61cc over the 58cc because I wanted the option to be able to add a S/C on possibly down the line. I was told by both AFR and a bunch of guys on here that if I wanted to do that, 61cc would be much better for the long run. But if you're not going for that and want to stay N/A, then go with 58cc, which would give you a little more punch.

And no problem about the videos, glad I could help. It's good to finally help someone then to always be asking for the help haha.
