annoying rattling

i got this annoying rattling noise comin from my rear suspension when i hit a bump, i think mabe my struts are gone, back end feels kinda soft when u put weight on it drops about an 1nch and a bit mabe, i looked under the car and there looks like its 2 struts on each side or something, 1 vertical and one diagnal sortive, i just turned 18 and this is my first stang so i don't know all the parts on my car yet, so i wanna get new struts for both sides in the rear will that solve my problem? and will it solve my problem when i let her rip in first and it feels like the rear end is jumping? and any cost estimates? (in canadian money)

First off, they are both shocks in the back, not struts. And the ones that lay forward are called quad shocks. They help eliminate wheel hop, and if they are bad, then it definitely can make wheel hop worse. If you have a noise out back, I'd check the control arm bushings also. I just replaced mine, cuz the bushing were shot. And shocks in the states only run about $30 or so.
