Another Mustang Wanna Be? .... D.U.W.

those last 2 are sweet. personally, i like the retro designs. some of the designs they are recalling are still some of the best ever created. you get that awesome look of old w/ new technology. it's like owning a sports car your father owned, only upgraded. i'm all for moving ahead, but it's nice to remember where you came from.

I won't believe anything, until CHEVY releases a photo.

And can someone PLEASE tell me what the ***** D.U.W means? I don't know the complete Stangnet lingo and it's really annoying the hell out of me cause I'm in a bad mood.

Thanks :)

yeah where have you been we had a thread about this a few months ago. LOL don't feel bad I didn't have any idea what it ment but never asked and another guy on here was like I might sound stupid but what does that mean i was glad he asked lol

you can tell a couple of them are photo choped. I like the retro look i like the new stangs if i had the money i'd have one i want an 07 shelby

Yea, some are neat, but I just think that it is stupid they are using some of these real muscle car names and basically destroying them. Such as a the Dodge Charger, wow, I won't even start with that one.

Oh, and that Dodge Charger is 340hp, and almost 400ft./lbs of torque. Not too shabby. Here's the problem I see going on right now. GM, and Dodge both have traditional powerplant designs well over 300hp, but if you want a Ford with more than 300hp, you have to come off enough money to buy two of the most expensive Fords that are produced (07 Shelby, and the GT). That's a load of sh**! Here's what I want... A stripped down, low weight, crank windows, no soundproofing, no A/C, hell don't even put a radio in it, whatever. Just put an evolved 351W with a nice fuel injection set-up, drop it in some body with a 5 speed, and ship it to lots for under $22,500. Would that not sell? The SC'd 4.6 is fine and dandy, but what about those of us that don't want a big import motor? The power that these GM, and Dodge cars are putting out is only going to increase, and you can only suck so much out of a N/A 4.6L, and still offer it as an off the line vehicle. Ford needs to go back to their roots.

Isnt that really similar to a Cobra R? The fact is that "those of us" who would buy a car like that is a REALLY small percentage in comparison to the rest of the population. Ford needs to get in a game plan of offering more "high power" cars like Dodge and GM. They may have ruined the history of the cars by re-badging these wanna be things today...but they sure come with some good power. A family man can go out and buy a fast sedan for his whole family from GM or Dodge where as ford only offers the GT or Shelby :notnice:

Ford's future might be in trouble if they dont shape up. Oh yea, I talked to a Ford Racing guy yesterday who works in Marketing....looks like the Lightning will be back! :spot:
