I had subscribed to a great T5 swap someone was doing on this forum before the server crash, but unfortunately I didn't save a copy of the thread locally. The member had listed all the parts needed along with the best sources based on a lot of leg work and time he spent researching everything available and weighing the pros/cons of each vendors parts. If anyone knows of or has a copy of this thread, I think a respot would be a great idea given the popularity of this topic.

Also, I was wonderring if anyone had advice on where to purchase a T5 transmission from. I see some people on eBay etc, but want to make sure I am buying from someone reputable at the best price etc. I don't have a T5 core and I notice many require a core charge in addition to their price. Appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks for posting the link, but seems like it's dead. Maybe a server problem, I'll try again later.

Hey,

I am currently in the process of gathering all the parts I need. I have posted a few topics and everyone has been very helpful. Here is one.

Just checked out the links you guys provided, these are great, thanks! Anyone out there recommend a place to purchase a T5 tranny? Would rather not just take my chances.

I am asking about the rubber mount, not the crossmember.

T5 or c4?

Our 66 C4 transmission mount bolted up to the T5 perfectly!

EDIT: (and looking at some toploader mounts, they have the same part numbers)

C4 rubber mount can be reused, but a new one usually comes with the crossmember.

I built my own crossmember but I used the 95 T5 mount. The whole thing looks to be a little low and I am anticipating exhaust issues. From oics I have seen the c4 mount is lower profile so I am going to try one of those. Just wante to get input from you stangnetters out there first.

Thanks,
Eric
