when i timed my car to 15deg it doesn't idle right after a few seceonds it wants to jump above 1000rpm and drop below 500 rpm....then usually idles again at 800rpm.... would changing my iac and tps help fix that???? my wife's cobra is at 20 deg w/ no problem...

Mine also hunts after a battery disco'.

And cleaning the IAC, as Mr. Grady pointed out, is never a bad idear.

Good luck.

If not asked, are any codes stored in the KAM. Even if not, something like an out of calibration ECT (it wont necessarily toss a code because it can be within absolute spec) can cause idle hunting.

EDIT: I would not look for plugs to affect a hunting idle.

Good luck.

actually, i think i found the problem....since i was changing out my iac and tps, i found one of those hard plastic hoses broke that goes to the smog pump lines also i was changing out the spark plugs and you know how the cobra gt40 heads are suppose to have platinum plugs...well these didn't....and they were kind of rusted....
