Okay, 89 lx w/ all stock setup. Have 2" drop springs, but not installed...may not install. Looking at 17x9 cobra r's on ebay w/ 20mm offset. Want to go with 245/45 or 40 front and 235/45 or 40 on rear from tire rack. Is this the proper offset and what would this look like as far fender fill and tire extension outside the well? Recomendations as to 40's or 45's on front or back? Willing to remove quads if needed. What would happen w/ the 2" drop? Thanks :)

DO NOT BUY THESE!!

The fronts will stick outside the fender lip about 1/2"-1".
The front tires will want to track every little groove in the road and will take all the fun out of driving :(

The rears will fit, but will be tucked from 1/2"-1" inside the fender lip ....
... The car will look like an 80's chev 4x4 with the discernable wide front track :barf:
Add the 2" drop to the mix :nonono:

This is why AFS (for Cobra R's) recommends buying 8's up front and 9's out back www.afswheels.com

Even if these ebay wheels are cheap you want to avoid them ....

The typical distance from the brake mounting flange to the fender lip on a stock 4-lug fox is:
3.25" Front
4.25" Rear

This is the reason to run two sizes ... until you do a good disc 5-lug conversion that widens the rear track to make up for the distance :nice:

Ps- Why would you wanna run a skinnier tire in the rear
