I find that hard to beleive, but truth is none of us were there. It could be very well true that he was in the snow on slicks but it could also be some serious exaggeration.

Someone on the local forum started a thread about how he wrecked his stang driving down a snowy highway going to a friends house with slicks and skinnys. ...So those kind of people are out there.

the team z is only 380 with the tie downs but needs 160 bucks more for the bump steer kit so thats 540 right there I would seem that the extra 100 for the MM kit is worth not having to mess with the bump steer nonsense.

If anyone else has experiance with the MM kit I would very much like to hear about it.

As I see it there was 1 known issue of a upr a-arm. Don`t forget about the wheels moved forward with the MM.
And your right with the team z there will be added cost.

Wow, never heard that side of the story. I heard they were cruising at 40 or something and when the A-arm broke it forced them into the other lane. Sounds like you heard one of those stories where the fish just keeps getting bigger. I'm sure the snow was 3 ft deep and uphill both ways too.

Bottom line, you'll never see that junk on my car. Just the principle of how they copy everyone else's ideas is enough to steer me away. Nevermind the horror stories of quality and customer service.

Alright, I guess I wasn't at the scene of the accident like you all seem to have been. Even if it had nothing to do with UPR I've still seen plenty of other bs and horror stories about them to never put that junk on my car.

Yup, because that was the only case ever where a UPR part has failed or just been a complete pos. This entire thread is about that one situation I'm sorry the **** sucks. You can stick up for it all you want because it's on your car or whatever. Ignorance is bliss. Yea, plenty of people can say they've never had a problem and UPR is the greatest ever. I just don't want to be one of the people that has had a problem and end up with my face in a tree or a cement wall because I saved a couple bucks.

Sorry my post wasn't directed towards you.

I've installed over 10 UPR K-Member kits on Foxes. SN's and Mod motors and have not have any major issues. We've personally run them in our own cars for years with out issues, years of wheels stands and hard launches. I had a tab that was slightly off and it was replaced with no questions asked by Jeremy at UPR.

Now with that being said I have read and heard about some of the issues, and unfortunatly those things happen when you do mass production. I know the welding of thier parts iwas/is being done in the USA by a certified welder who has a very good reputation from his previous employment, doing similar items.

I like the Team-Z Motorsports parts, Dave's craftsmanship is second to none and he has a long history of suspension building and design starting when he was at Roush. Dave would not put out a product that will not take the abuse to which is was designed. I am swapping out my UPR for his front set-up since I switched to motorplates and no longer require the engine mounts, this will free up some room. Dave also makes the a-arms in different lengths for us guys with race brakes so we can tuck the tires. I currently run the Team Z rear suspension and have been in Daves shop, he's a class act and top notch fabricator, his welding is some of the best in the business.

Make the decision for what YOU feel best about

UPR's quality is NOTHING close to Team Z.
