Ok, I have been going through all of my vacuum lines, the last ones I need to conquer are the tab and tad solenoids, my question is, the tab and tad solenoids both have two vac tubes that are colored that go into a rubber thing (don't know what it is called) but it has 5 holes where they run in, and 5 holes that come off of it, any way the vac lines that run in to it are colored, but once they run into the 5 hole thing I don't know where to send them, so where do the lines go???

Ok I have it mostly figured out, the only two lines that I dont know about are the tab vacuum line and the tad vacuum line, so the vacuum line off of the TAB should connect to which color on the 5 hole rubber thing, and the vacuum line off of the TAD should go to what color on the 5 hole thing. Thanks for all of your help.

you'll see three solenoids on the passenger fenderwell.... top one is egr.... then there is two below.... I am almost positive the one closest to the engine is the thermactor air bypass solenoid and the one closest to the fenderwall is the thermactor air diverter... and I'm pretty sure the vacuum supply line goes to the top of the two valves on each solenoid... the bottom one runs to the tad tab's. I think the egr solenoid is opposite... the bottom one is the vacuum supply and the top is the vacuum line that goes to the egr valve.

Definetely check out the diagram though... I can check for ya tomorrow to make sure just let me know..

notice how the tab tad solenoids have input output lines that are one piece..

If you want to run individual lines you may need a extra vacuum supply line...

On my car I had alot of lines that split... and didn't want so many..

Anyways.. I ran an extra supply line because I didn't use one of the lines that splits 1 to 2.. So I just ran a line from the capped off vacuum spot on the vacuum distribution block.. to hook up the egr vacuum lines... and used the original spot soley for the tab tad solenoids..

If running new vacuum lines is what your doing....

I did have to 1 to 2 a few times to hook up the other lines.. (eg the one that goes through the firewall)

As of right now I haven't hooked up either of the two vacuum lines that go through the passenger fenderwall... am just hoping they are a/c.. related..

Alright, I have all of my vac lines hooked up, I am just wondering, where the colored lines run into the 5 hole rubber thing what color should go where after the 5 hole thing, the vac lines that go into the rubber thing from the solenoids are red, white, green, and black? I will check mine in just a minute to see what color I have going to what, just wanting someone else to check theirs for a comparison to what I have to see if I have them right. And thanks for the help.

you must have had someone put new vacuum lines in at some point.. because my vacuum lines are all black.. if your talking about the thing on the passenger firewall... called the vacuum distribution block... There should be labels on it.. One is the source which comes from the back of the manifold one b/r is capped.. .another goes to the brake thing on the passenger side. another is for a/c but the a/c also goes over to the driverside along the back firewall and hooks up to all the vacuum lines on the passenger side.. with multiple 1 to 2's..

take some pictures or describe which one you need to know where to hook up..

The colored lines I am refering to come from the three solenoids on the rear of the passenger fender, the egr has green and red lines and the tab and tad also have two a piece, they run into a 5 hole rubber thing and then to the tab, the tad, and the egr and something else, I just want to know what color goes where?
