Went to a car show on sat evening and had the top down for the day. By night fall it got really cold, below 10 deg celcius. So when I decided to put the top back up I couldnt latch it. It took quite a bit of muscle to latch one side then the other. Some one did mention about not using the top if its cold. Anyone here expericence anything of the sort before. Im a virgin at verts.

One more, driver side rear side window doesnt exactly operate like the pass. I wount come all the way up unless you pull it. Is this a common problem? Is it usually a regualtor assembly that need replacing or just the motor not powerfull enough to raise. It just makes alot of clicking noises up or down. But if you give it a small push on the way down it drops fine. Up is another story

thanks

The top will require more effort to put up when it is cold out because the top material gets tighter, I've put my top up when it has been 40* F outside and it was harder to put back up but not impossible. I wouldn't be to worried about it unless the top is old and has cracks in it.

try greasing your window track, if it hasnt been used it may have dirt and corrosion on it. The same thing happened to my car. the left side wouldnt go up as easily as the right. a can of silicone spray fixed it.

thanks guys makes me feel better.
unfortunatly I think the window motor is pooched. I took the panel off and the widow itself is loose and you can see the motor try to move but it just clicks horribly. You have to push it about quarter way down for it to drop but nothing on the way up.

I think you are in the wrong thread...

To the poster:

I can get them all the way up. They come up and then push towards the front of the car and it will line up with the door window.
