Does anyone in here have any experience with Antigravity lithium ion car batteries? Pros/Cons, what's up?

The name suggests that they do not understand their own company name...

Smaller, Lighter, abundance of cranking amps, expensive, and probably contains its own charge controller which is throttled (meaning longer drives are better).

This is just lithium-ion batteries in general. I have not heard of this particular brand before now.

Lithium batteries have the possibility of one day going *poof* whereas lead-acid batteries... not so much.

Old thread, but a few more years of technological advancement to go off of. I noticed my battery is dated 08/2022 today so i've just started thinking about batteries in case mine goes out. Its just a Duralast type battery, probably something cheap the PO put in. No issues at the moment, car still cranks right up, but just planning.

Any 'new' reviews of Antigravity batteries?

If your just planning ahead then a trip to Costco or Wally world and a$hundo will get you a three year warranted battery.

I live in the rural's, ain't no kings around here.
Just a bunch of red necks waiting for the city folks to come out and FAFO.
If you want to spend your retirement money on a battery, this is the way to go:

P.Motive 2K 16v

This is the world's best drag race battery. With over 2000 cranking amps and 36 amp hours of capacity (over 16v), this is the most powerful lithium battery on Earth. Are you racing a nitrous pro-mod with 4, 5, or 6 kits? No problem- this battery will barely notice the 300 amp draw from the...

Probably my next buy after the two Go Lithium batteries I currently use go bad.

Those are great in-case the car doesn't burn down by itself.

and I thought mine was some $$. I'm using ATX30HD.
So far no issues, but have not run a full track day to see
if it's happy with "modern" charging strategies.

Mine was a decent weight savings, trying to get some
of that weight "back", after the roll bar install.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Anything special you had to do to install it? Let us know how it goes.

Had to make a new mount to mount, for that bracket over the top. Basically just a thin flat plate bolted directly
to one of the front mount bolts in the "inner fender". That area recesses as you go towards firewall, so it had to be
spaced up with a small block ( I used the wedge that normally holds stock battery in) on the other more rearward
mounting bolt. Most people could fab it easy with a drill press

It's a minimalist bracket, but that battery literally feels like you picked up an empty plastic box, so I figure
it's momentum, even in a crash would be minimal. Not sure on all S550's, but GT500 has a metal "firewall" of
sorts between battery area and the engine compartment. So I wasn't as worried about thermal, although stock
battery is in it's own plastic box (which had a pretty heavy steel mount bracket under it, and that was part of
weight savings).

This is the pile of stuff I'm not using (except that small plastic wedge on right).
