Well, I didn't take latin, but I did take google, so You asked about my CID. As mentioned in the last post, it's a 331.

Yeah about the distributor..... save your money. It's only needed if the stock one is faulty.

Typically, it's when you replace a worn, inefficient part with anew part that you notice a gain. The part itself doesn't provide the gain, but you just regained the power you lost due to the crappy worn-out part you just took out.

Best examples? Spark plugs and brakes.

You could stick a candle in your cylinder head and notice a HP gain if you took out 45K miles worn-to-hell copper plugs.

Same with brakes. You could swiss cheese a $10 ebay rotor with your home power drill and use sandpaper pads and swear your 80-0 times improved over your crappy worn 100K mile stock brake stuff.

Its a phrase I learned in school. Economists use it to describe how factors affect the economy, given that everything else stays the same. I believe it gets used in other studies, too.

BTW, that's a damn strong trap speed for an n/a 345... You're making north of 400 rwhp? What are you revving to? Solid or hydro roller?

Your shortblock is built like a brick ****-house - very similar to mine. Would love to know your cam specs.

The motor is kind of a freak... i think its got something to do with the short stroke and the rod length, not to mention those trick flow heads are SICK. In my sig the run was 11.90 at 118, but the first pass i ever ran with the car was a 12.40 at 120mph and about the most violent tire shake ive ever expierienced.

I am revving to 6500, its a hydraulic cam, i was planning on gett a solid cam from Jay Allen, but i ran out of money and my heads were ready to go for a hydraulic cam so i said F-it for now. the motor is built to rev to 7500 rpms with ease. The cam is just an off the shelf nitrous cam from comp, its an awesome cam, idles great and makes good power everywhere. but juding by my dyno sheets the intake is hurting me right now.
